Randers municipality is on the central part of the Denmark in Jutland peninsula. It is the 6 th largest city in Denmark and has a population of 55,739as estimated in 2004. Randers is the only natural river harbor of Denmark.

Randers dates back to the period of 1100s. In the middle age the town was fortressed. The only trace of this is the existence of the streets in their names. The municipality of Randers is managed by the Social Democrats for more than 100 years. But in 2002 the Liberal party took up the charge and a lot of problems cropped up.
