Lying off the northeast coast of Venezuela, The country of Trinidad and Tobago is cradled in the Caribbean Sea. Out of the two, Trinidad is the larger one and is spread across 1,864 sq mile. It is flanked by the mountainous beauty of Mount Aripo in the north. The height of these mountains reach up to a towering 3,085 ft and add up to the impeccable beauty. Tobago is comparatively smaller, having a surface area of just 116 sq miles. Tobago is heavy with hardwood forestation.

A survey in the year 2006, reported an estimated Trinidad and Tobago population of 1,065,842 .

A 2003 consensus approved of the Port-of-Spain as the Capital of Trinidad and Tobago. It is also considered to be the largest city covering an area of 263,800 metro area.

The currency of Trinidad and Tobago is Trinidad and Tobago dollar.

The official language of Trinidad and Tobago is English. Apart from this, the other languages that are spoken are Hindi, Chinese, Spanish, French.

Trinidad and Tobago is home to multiple religions. The Roman Catholics form 26% of the total population. The Anglicans constitute 8% of the Trinidad and Tobago population. The Baptists and the Pentecostal have a total of 7% attributed to them. The Seventh-Day Adventist constitute 4% of the population and the other Christian constitute a little over 6%. Maximum number of Hindus seem to have settled in Trinidad and Tobago, with a 22% population count. The followers of Islam constitute the rest 6%.

The country of Trinidad and Tobago are home to the people of multiple ethnicities. 40% of the population consist of the Indians, 37.5% have their origins in Africa. 20.5% of the population have mixed origins and the people of unspecified ethnicity constitute a meager 0.8%.
