Korea Location can be best described as in the North eastern part of the Asian continent
Korean location is between 33 degrees and 43 degrees in the Northern latitude and 124 degrees in eastern Longitude. Russia, China and Japan are adjacent to Korea. The local Time of Korea is 9 hours ahead of GMT. The Korean Peninsular is 1000 km long and 216 km in its width even in its narrowest point. This point lies just south of Manchuria between China and Japan. The total land area of Korea is 99,200 sq.km which is 38301 square miles approximately. The population happens to be 45 million.
Mountainous region cover up 70% of Korea's land mass. Thus it is one of the most mountainous regions in the world. The geographical movements of Korea's granite and limestone belts creates breathtaking landscapes of superb scenic hills and valleys. Some mountain ranges that expands the length of the east coast and finally falls straight into the East Sea. The southern and western coasts, has the mountains descending gradually towards the coastal plains which is the enriched production ground for the bulk of Korea's agricultural crops, especially rice.
Korea is a basically a structure similar to peninsular on the East Asian mainland that falls directly west of Japan. Korea's northern border, along the Yalu River, confronts China, touching a small area of the Soviet Union near Vladivostok, on the Pacific coast. The Sea of Japan lies to the eastern region of Korea, the Yellow Sea covering the west of Korea.
The unique Korea location, geographically makes it very feasible piece of land and an international heart of Asia.
