History
There have been quite a few changes to the design of the Serbian flag, the earliest one being the Flag of Vladislav I, which was popularized in AD 1281. It was not until 1835, when the Sretenje Constitution laid out the design. It gave the three primary colors as bright red, dark blue, and white, in that order from top to bottom.
The flag kept seeing changes over time. After the breakup of Yugoslavia, Serbia was established as an independent state. The flag started to be regulated by law in 2006, which defined the Coat of Arms to be used. In 2010, the Coat of Arms was redesigned, leading to the current flag of Serbia.
