Monaco Flag

Monaco Flag was introduced by Charles the III and the flag of Monaco is a symbol of the Principality of Monaco. Monaco is an independent state located towards the Western part of Europe. Monaco Flag came to be used from the year 1881 from 4th April. The color represented on Monaco Flag is that of the Monaco coats of Arms. The design of the Monaco flag is such that it has within it horizontal divisions. There are two such divisions and the colors represented in these are red and white. These two colors also happen to be the symbol of the coming in of the Grimaldi family.

The ratio used for the division of the flag is 4:5 or 2:3. Monaco Flag's overall design has undergone changes through time. These changes include the inclusion of certain patterns like those in the form of rhombus in the early years.

Monaco Flag has been in use in Government offices, Prince's palace.
