Kuwait Flag Description

The rectangular flag of Kuwait is made of 3 horizontal, colored stripes. Green is on the top, followed by white and red. The left side of the flag, where the hoist is attached, there is a black colored trapezoid. The 4 above mentioned colors are also known as pen Arab shades, which are often associated with Islam and the people of Arabia for many centuries. Black in the Kuwait flag stands for the defeat
of all its foes. Green symbolizes the fertility and fecundity of all the Arabic lands. Red is a mark for the blood lost by the enemies, whereas white means purity and honor.

It is said that the design and pattern of the Kuwait flag has its origin in the Arab Revolt Flag (1916), that acted as a symbol of Arabic nationalism seeking freedom from the domination of the Turkish reign.
