Zambia, Geography is very diverse because of its different physical features. Nambia, Mozamgique, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire and Angola are its neighboring countries. The structure of Zambia is similar to a plateau.

The Zambezi River has given it the name of Zambia .It is the most important river. The geography of Zambia stretches from the latitude of 10 degrees to 18 degrees in the South and from 22 degrees to 33degrees in the East.

Zambia covers an area of 752,000 square kilometers. Most of the country is a high plateau and there are mountain ridges. Most of the land in Zambia is flat. They are occasionally broken by hills formed due to erosion of crystalline rocks. These small mountains are the stores of the mineral resources of the country.

The land becomes lower towards the south .The plateau region is broken by the tributaries of the Zambezi River. Most of the rivers have water falls and rapids which are a unique feature of the country of Zambia. The major hydroelectric schemes and water rafting adventures are situated on the rivers.

Bangweulu, Mweru and Lake Tanganyika are the three most important lakes of the country. The second deepest natural lake is the Lake Tanganyika. Luapula River drains Lake Bangweulu.

The Republic of Zambia is the official name of Zambia. The President holds the main power and he is elected for five years. United National Independence party is the main political party of the country. The largest party is the Democracy. Cassava, Millet Peanuts, Beans, Sugarcane pineapples, onions and potatoes are the main agricultural products of the country.
