Likoma is one of the major towns of the Likoma Island situated in Malawi. The city Likoma is also the administrative centre of the district Likoma.

This city houses a cathedral building of ancient times which is a popular destination of the tourists. Likoma is known for many engineering industries. The city is linked with the country through boats and steamers and is considered to be densely populated.

Likoma Island houses rice and cassava plantation along with many baobab trees. This island has rugged coastlines and small bays. The city of Likoma has lively markets where different kinds of vegetables and fruits are available. A dhow ferry runs in between the Chizumulu island and the island Likoma. Tourists can enjoy snorkeling and diving in the bays of Likoma.
