It is also famous for Budvar Beer – the local drink.

Ceske Budejovice city is the largest among the South Bohemian cities and considered as the political capital of South Bohemia. It is said that the Ceske Budejovice city in Czech Republic was founded by King Hizro or King Ottokar II of Bohemia.

The geographical location of the city lies between north latitude 48°59′ and 14°28′. It is located very close to the Austrian border. A glorious place in the thirteenth century, it was devastated by a fire in the year 1641. The city was rebuilt in the eighteenth century during Hapsburg reign.
