Society and Culture of Lithuania

Lithuania Society and Culture provides a profound insight into the traditional heritage of the country. People, who represent the social and cultural aspects of a country, make up the social construct of Lithuania. The total population of Lithuania is approximately 3,717,000. Continuous emigration and immigration have led to changes in population over the past decades.

The history of the land along with the foreign influences have shaped Lithuania society and culture. Majority of the population in the country are Lithuanians. The rest of the people include Russians, Poles, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Jews, Latvians, Taters, Germans, Estonians, gypsies etc. the most widely spoken language is Lithuanian.
