Kyrgyzstan Society and Culture strongly reflects the ethnic identity of the Kyrgyz people through their language, traditions, customs, food religion and may more factors. Ever since their independence an opportunity to create national policies on these factors was an interest for the people.
The Kyrgyz people are usually orthodox about their deep rooted rich tradition and culture. The social structure of the past have retained its essence even today across the passing generations. They strongly sense the 'unity' among themselves and its not only among the people residing in the nation but also with any one who belongs to this origin. The term Kyrgyz is derived from the Turkic term 'kyrk' and 'yz' which means "forty clans".
The geographic separation decades ago could not diminish the innate sentiments of the Kyrgyz population and has always shown inclination to reward the traditional outlook of the society's individuals. The present day Kyrgyz society still applies great importance to family and kin group sentiments.
The majority of Kyrgyz clan still continue their lifestyle as nomads until the Soviet crusades forcefully changed the society into transitional settlement pattern of cities and towns or sometimes state and collective farms during the 1930s. The Kyrgyz culture have always shown a strong disliking towards industrial employment or technological industries.
The Kyrgyzstan Society and Culture have been as strong as the pillar to the citizens of the Nation. The Kyrgyz people have been an advanced society in all possible ways but yet deep rooted to its culture and tradition of Kyrgyzstan.
