Nauru Education

Nauru Education plays a key role in the progress of the country. 99% of the population is literate. Education in Nauru is compulsory. Children from 5 to 16 years are supposed to have compulsory attendance at school. Government is responsible for the education system as well as the institutes, schools and colleges.
