Hetauda is a small city in central Nepal. The city is a major industrial zone of central Nepal. The cement factory of Hetauda is one of the biggest employers in the region.
Hetauda enjoys a mild climate compared to its geographical peers. It is surrounded by hills. The Siwalik range guards Hetauda in the south. The Mahabharata range lies to the north. The three rivers Samari, Rapti and Karra join the bigger Narayani river a few kilometers downstream from Hetauda. The thriving commercial city is famous throughout Nepal for its booming manufacturing industries. The Hetauda Industrial District or HID is the largest among the industrial districts of the Himalayan country. A number of cottage industries also conduct operations in Hetauda. The cement industry in the region is helped by the presence of limestone in the Mahabharata mountain range.
