Biratnagar is regarded as the second largest city of Nepal.
The city of Biratnagar is located close to the south eastern border of India. The city of Biratnagar is famous for its industry, agriculture and commerce. Kosi Tuppa is an attraction near Biratnagar. It takes only 2 hours to reach Kosi Tuppa from Biratnagar if you are traveling by a car. This place is located very near to the river Sapta Kosi. Migratory birds frequent this place. Bird watchers gather at Kosi Tuppa as they can observe different species of birds here. The Kosi barrage over river Kosi is another tourist spot near Biratnagar.

Baraha Chhetra is a Hindu pilgrimage located in Biratnagar. Rivers Sapta Kosh and Koka flow by this pilgrimage center. Devotees come to the confluence of the rivers for a dip in the holy water of the rivers. According to the Hindu mythologies, Hirayankashyapu was killed here. Tourists in Biratnagar can also visit the communal market held every week on Wednesday.
