Baglung Map

Baglung lies among the mid-hills of Nepal. Baglung is situated at a distance of 275 km from Kathmandu. Baglung is the zonal head quarters of Dhawalagiri zone. Baglung town is also known as Baglung Bazaar.
It is placed over a plateau in the Kali Gandaki valley. Baglung in Nepal is a major tourist attraction due to the nearby tourist attractions namely, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Dolpo and Dhorpatan.

Baglung of Nepal is surrounded by Beni Bazaar at Myagdi and Kusma Bazaar at Parvat. The town of Baglung at Nepal is well connected to Pokhara via a winding highway. There are also upcoming projects in order to connect Baglung with Jomsom, Tibet, Rukum and Mustang via highways. There are also plans for an airport to be set up at Sera Bazaar. Baglung airport is placed at a distance of twelve kilometers southwards to the town.

The major tourist attraction at Baglung are majestic views of the Himalayas along with the waterfalls, forests, terraced fields, caves and deep gorges which are abundantly exposed to the visitors. Other interests include Mustang, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Dolpa and the Baglung Kalika Temple which was constructed by King Pratap Narayan. The temple remains open during the festivals of Chaitra Dashain and Dashain. The place is also famous for trekking, rafting and biking expeditions.
