The Failaka island in the province of Al Asimah in Kuwait has a historical significance, which is as interesting as its mystic beauty. The Failaka island houses numerous temples that were known for their architectural beauty and the archaeological remains.

The history of Kuwait can be dated back to the Stone and the bronze age. The small Greek colony settlement in the city dates back to 325 to 150 BC, reminding of the Greek arrival in the fourth century B.C.
