Tarawa is the capital of the Republic of Kiribati.

Tarawa is an island consisting of a circular coral reef surrounding a lagoon and lies in the middle of the central Pacific Ocean. Once, it was the capital of the former British colony of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands. The remains of the World War II can still be traced in the land of Tarawa. The Battle of Tarawa is a renowned event in the history of the World. It took place during World War II. The Battle of Tarawa took place in the islet of Betio. The war relics that can be discovered in the lands of Tarawa remind the big number of Japanese and American soldiers who laid their lives on the grounds of Tarawa during the World War II.

The climate in Tarawa is tropical. The rainfall dominates the land from the month of November to April. The English tourists face no problems in the land because English is the official language in the region.
