Hells Canyon is a division of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, a unit of Wallowa-Whitman, Nez Perce, and Payette National Forests. The canyon includes 900 miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and other uses. You can also go for camping and picnicking in this beautiful landscape. Thirty-six spots with changeable points of growth are available for camping.

Hells Canyon is considered to be the deepest river gorge of North America covering a huge and secluded region with striking changes in topography, altitude, weather, and shrubbery.
