Rc Aerial Photography

When the photograph of a feature, or any object, or phenomenon on the earth surface is taken from camera mounted on a Remote Controlled (Rc) Aircraft is called Rc Aerial Photography . Digital cameras are commonly used for Rc Aerial Photography .

 

Equipments for Rc Aerial Photography:

Camera: The camera required for Rc Aerial Photography should be light relative to the aircraft. Nikon 3700 and Pentax Optio S4 are most frequently used for Rc Aerial Photography . The shutter of the Pentax can be triggered by a remote control device. A servo push is required for releasing the shutter of other cameras. The camera mount: To fix the camera in the aircraft , a mounting board is needed. A tilted platform is usually used to mount the camera for Rc Aerial Photography . The camera tripod is attached to the hole of the tilted platform. Rc planes: Rc Aerial Photography can be carried out from a plane or a helicopter. The basic feature of these planes is that they should fly slowly and should be electric planes. When the plane is slow then the photographer gets more time to adjust his camera with respect to the object and electric planes will prevent crash landing which may lead to camera damage. For reducing vibrations, the electric motor can be turned off.Glow or gasoline aircraft, GWS Slow Stick are most frequently used for Rc Aerial Photography . EZ400G is also used by people who have a liking for wooden airplanes.

Radio control system in Rc Aerial Photography :
A transmitter and a receiver together makes the radio control system. A radio command is send by the pilot to the receiver which passes the respond to the servo. The servo while moving itself also moves the surface of the plane to which it is attached. The frequency band most frequently used in a Rc aircraft is 72MHz.A radio cantrol system can handle 2 separate radio functions.

 

Rc Aerial Photography with the Rc Gliders:

Slope gliders and thermal glidrers are two form of gliders used in Rc Aerial Photography . The slope glider is cast away from the hill.When it is thrown in the air, it starts flying with the wind current. Thermal gliders are flown directly into warm air currents (thermals) as their name indicates. Handlaunch airplanes are thrusted off by hand and flown in a similar way as that of thermal gliders.All kind of gliders needs upwaes rising of wind in order to float.

Disadvantages of Rc Aerial Photography:

• Since the weight is less, it is affected by speedy wind movements.
• Low lying features may create an obstacle.
