George Bernard Shaw, the Irish playwright said, “Give a man health and a course to steer, and he’ll never stop to trouble about whether he’s happy or not.” Health is an essential requirement which everyone tends to neglect. Even if you are usually health conscious, it can be difficult to follow a healthy routine while traveling.

Some of the airports have taken initiatives to help travelers in maintaining and improving their health:

  1. Medical services at the Incheon Airport
While you wait for your flight at the airport, get your blood pressure checked at the Inha University Hospital. The hospital at the Incheon Airport, Korea, also offers dental services and emergency medical care.
  2. Stretch at the Dallas/ Fort Worth Yoga Studio
The Dallas/Fort Worth Airport has a yoga studio where you can take a break and relax. The hallway connecting the Terminals B and D situated near Gate D40 houses the yoga studio. The studio is replete with yoga mats and hand sanitizer. All you need to do is to just step in for a yoga retreat.
  3. Inhale Oxygen at the Narita Airport Oxygen Bar
Narita Airport in Japan has an oxygen bar named Oxygen Lounge JUKO to quick fix your oxygen levels. A 10-minute session costs 800 Yen. The bar opens from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  4. Meditation at the Albuquerque Airport
The Albuquerque airport in the US state of New Mexico offers a meditation room for travelers. You can spend some time in complete silence and indulge in some meditation.
  5. Swim at Singapore’s Changi Airport
Swimming is an ideal exercise to help you relax in the midst of your hectic schedule. Harilela Hospitality Pte Ltd. offers a Balinese-themed swimming pool at the Ambassador Transit Hotel. You can plunge to rejuvenate your tired body during your down time at the airport. A fee of $13.91 is levied for the use of the pool. A towel and shower facilities are included in the package. The hotel also serves a complementary non-alcoholic drink from the bar.

A waiting period is always troublesome, but you can make good use of it to improve your health and refresh yourself, thanks to the newly introduced services at the airports. Besides these facilities, most of the airports in the world offer massage and sports facilities to replenish the lowered energy levels of the travelers.
