Archive Bookstore, London

Crammed with books across all genres, Archive Bookstore is a bibliophile’s paradise.

This is my new favourite second-hand bookshop in London and one that I can’t wait to visit again. Archive Bookstore, located just off Edgware Road, is a treasure chest of old books waiting for a new home. It’s less than five minutes away from both Marylebone Station and Edgware Road Station.

There’s a large selection of books ranging from cheap Penguin classics to slightly pricier antiquarian books with everything in between and spanning all genres. It’s slightly disorganized with no clear system of order but there’s plenty to discover. I left with old Penguin editions of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Beautiful and the Damned, Dante’s The Divine Comedy, two Ernest Hemingway novels and a lovely leather bound copy of Bleak House by Charles Dickens. All of these for under a tenner!

For those after second-hand printed music, there is also a vast selection of popular and classical music.
