Jinotega is a lively and pleasant city of Nicaragua. This region is famous for it forms the birthplace of some great peoples like the wife of the national hero Augusto C. Sandino and the priest Odorico D’ Andrea. This region draws innumerable tourists every year for it boasts the magnificent cathedral, the El Jaguar Reserve and the Kilimanjaro farm, which is a fabulous coffee farm. The Apanas Lake is another attraction in the city of Jinotega, which offers the tourists for kayaking in the lake. The Penas Blacas Massif is another must visit site in the region of Jinotega. This place forms a part of the Bosawas Biosphere Reserve and is home to rocky cliffs, beautiful waterfalls, gigantic ferns and various kinds of orchids.
