The kind of role that is played by the Ministry of Health of Chad actually reflects the important measures that have been adopted by the government of the country. The Ministry of Health aims at medical facilities for the people of Chad. All the major decisions in the heath sector of the economy are taken by the Ministry of Health. The Government has also made important investments in the health sector of Chad.




Chad Health

There are a number of hospitals in the country, which try hard to fight against the widespread diseases of the country such as leprosy, tuberculosis, spinal meningitis and schistosomiasis. Some of the most important and early established hospitals of Chad are situated in Abéché, Sarh, Moundou, N’Djamena. The birth rate of the people of Chad has been estimated to be 45.3/1000 and the general life expectancy of the people is 46 to 48 years.


World Health Organization or more popularly WHO, has also made important contributions to improve the medical facilities of the country and plays an important role so far as Health in Chad is concerned.
