Recently, in April 2017, the Alabama Senate voted for the approval of a legislation that would (if passed as a law) allow citizens to carry concealed handguns without the need of a permit. If passed, this law will add Alabama to the list of 11 other US states which allow people to carry concealed firearms without a permit.
