La Manga

La Manga, Spain is a tourists’ paradise on the Costa Calida. This narrow strip of land is nearly 22 km long and has an average width of 300 meters. It splits the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Manor.

Till the 1960’s La Manga remained unspoiled before being explored by the tourist industry. La Manga has sandy beaches which stretch more than 40 km. El Galan and Pino are the beaches that face the Mar Menor and are very serene, while Pedrucho and El Arenal are the Mediterranean-facing beaches that are livelier. These beautiful beaches attract tourists all throughout the year.

During the summer months La Manga, Spain is visited by thousands of tourists, but towards the northern end on the Mar Manor side, it is more tranquil. On the northern end, we get into the area of canals, with their bridges, which are known as Veneziola. The old traditional techniques of fishing are still used which can be witnessed here. The waters of the Mar Manor and the Mediterranean merge together at Las Encanezadas where one can enjoy the old reed beds. La Manga, Spain is gifted with unparalleled natural beauty with innumerable special qualities and features.
