Edo Museum, Tokyo was established on 28th March, in 1993. This museum is also known by the name of Edo Tokyo Museum. This museum is one of the popular Tokyo attractions that tourists love to visit. By visiting this museum, one can acquire more knowledge about cultural and historical background of Tokyo.

Edo Museum, Tokyo occupies an area of about 30,000 sq meter. The highest point of the museum is 62.2 meter. A number of exhibitions are organized in this museum. Many special exhibitions are also held here. Visitors will gather fair ideas on the culture, history, politics and life style of the people of Japan.

Some exhibitions in the museum are held permanently. Other exhibits are displayed in the museum at different times through out the year. The exhibition hall in Edo Museum, Tokyo is divided into three parts, namely, the Tokyo Zone, the Edo Zone and Second Event Exhibition.

Edo Tokyo Museum remains open for the visitors and tourists from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. Only on Saturdays, the museum closes at7.30 pm. But visitors are allowed to enter the museum 30 minutes earlier to the time of its closing down. The museum authority has set discounts on entry fees. A concession is given to students and visitors coming in groups.
