Santa delivers the gifts on Christmas Eve or in the early hours of Christmas morning, dressed in a red coat, red trousers, and black leather boots. He also has a white bear and is slated to often say Ho Ho Ho. Santa’s legend can be traced to St. Nicholas, who was a saint and lived in Turkey. He was noted for his kindness and acts of helping the poor. During the Middle Ages, children were given gifts on the evening before his name day of 6th of December. Over time this has changed to December 24/25 and St Nicholas became Santa Claus.
