One of Scotland’s most historic councils, Clackmannanshire owes its name to a Scottish Gaelic directly translated as ‘Stone of Manau.’ Fondly known as ‘Wee County’ due to its small size, Clackmannanshire Council is ideally located close to prominent spots in Scotland, including Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Clackmannanshire council is spread over a total area of 61 square miles and is considered the smallest council region in mainland Scotland. Alloa is the administrative center of the council. Some of the nearby towns and villages, include Cambus, Fishcross, Kennet, Menstrie, etc.
