World Map in 49 Languages, And Still Counting

We at Mapsofworld.com, believe that no language is less important and we consider it as our professional responsibility to present information in as many languages as we can afford too. As on date, Mapsofworld.com has made World Map available in 49 languages, one more and we would be 50, right? Absolutely, but we are no hurry. We don’t give in to temptation. We understand this is not a hundred meter dash for us. We are actually running a marathon and we have quite a lot yet to accomplish. We also prioritize on which projects are needed first, organizationally and holistically, both.

At any given point of time we are working on multiple projects within Mapsofworld and they come with their very different finish lines. By 2016 April, we are committed to see Mapsofworld presenting World Map in 100 different languages.

When it comes to maps, it is not just about making them, it is equally important to maintain them. As we go ahead adding a language, we also look at how we would maintain that map for years and decades to come. Having done that, we don’t stop there, we work on to see what other maps are needed and what all should be added ASAP. Starting with just one map’s Spanish version, Mapsofworld today has hundreds of maps and thousands of pages comprising textual and visual content. On seven other languages we are steadily adding content and we have gone beyond that single World Map with which we started.

One URL opens the world in 49 languages for you to see. The same world looks much smaller to us because our friends and associates work in all parts of the world. You can check our collection here.
