Thai Binh, a province in the north of Vietnam, occupies an area of 1,509 square kilometers. The capital of the province is the Thai Binh City. The province is inhabited by a population of 1,814,700 inhabitants.
It is located in the the plains of North Vietnam and in the midlands located in the south east direction of Hanoi. The economic foundation of the province is strengthened by the resources of minerals, gas and oils. Inland and marine fisheries are also strong contributors to the economy. There is also scope for the development of tourism in the region as it is the location of several sightseeing spots. These include the various pagodas, temples and gardens. There are a number of festivals that are celebrated in the province and even these attract large crowds. The transportation system of the province is also pretty well developed.
