Dak Nong

The province of Dak Nong is located in the southern region of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Separated from the province of Dak Lak in 2005, Dak Nong province of Vietnam shares borders with Cambodia.
The province of Dak Nong is divided into 6 administrative districts namely Dak Song, Dak Mil, Cu Jut, Dak Glong, Krong No and Dak R'Lap.

The town of Gia Nghia serves as the capital of Dak Nong. The flat topography of the province of Dak Nong is cut across by two main rivers, Serepok river and Ba river. Several streams, rivulets and waterfalls form important topographical features of Dak Nong. The river valleys of Dak Nong are fertile and provide cultivable land.

The province of Dak Nong is home to diverse ethnic groups. The ethnic groups of Dak Nong live in small groups. The economy of Dak Nong was initially solely dependent on agricultural produce. The main agricultural product of Dak Nong is coffee. However, tourism is also one of the rapidly developing sectors of Dak Nong.

The location of Gia Nghia on the route between Buon Ma Thuot to Saigon is also an important factor for the development of tourism. The picturesque beauty of the various tourist attractions of Dak Nong include the Trinh Nu Waterfall, Dieu Thanh Waterfall, Ba Tang Waterfall, the Misty Waterfall, etc.
