After the death of President, Zachary Taylor,\u00a0Millard Fillmore<\/b>\u00a0became the President of United States of America in 1850.He became the Vice President of United States of America on a Whig ticket in the year 1848.<\/p>\n
Though he became Vice President as a Whig candidate he was denied nomination in the 1952 Presidential election from the Whig party.\u00a0Millard Fillmore<\/b>\u00a0is the second child of his parents. Nathaniel Millard Fillmore and Phoebe Millard Fillmore were his parents.\u00a0Millard<\/b>\u00a0belonged to a very poor family. In the year, 1828, Millard Fillmore got elected to New York State Assembly. He won the election on the ticket of Anti Masonic Party. He served there for one year ( 1829-1831).<\/p>\n

He served there from 1847-1849. He retooled banking system of New York as a state comptroller. It became an example in the US Banking system.
