Cobra plants in the carnivorous plant exhibit
Their appearance explains the nomenclature. With bulbous heads and red tongues darting out like fangs, these plants look very much like cobras. They are a variant of the pitcher plant and are endemic to California. However, they are difficult to grow and it is unlikely that you have seen them anywhere in San Francisco. Besides these Cobra plants with heads like the dancing snake, other carnivorous plants like the bladderworts and sundews are interesting to observe.
