Glenlee or the tall ship near River Side Museum, Glasgow<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

The Tall Ship aka Glenlee, a three-masted barque, was constructed at the Bay Yard in Port Glasgow. It was built as a bulk cargo carrier and took her first shipment in the 1896. Presently, the Tall Ship on the River Clyde is being used as a museum. The ship hosts marine-themed activities and events throughout the year. The ship has been refurbished to make it a tourist attraction. The authorities also run guided tours, and audio guides are available for those who wish to explore the ship themselves.<\/p>\n

The Glenlee has become the city’s new hub for marine activities. You can also enjoy rides on Seaforce powerboat and a cross-river ferry facility. Buy gifts from the souvenir shop on board. Lazeratte Cafe, the coffee shop at the ship, offers tasty beverages. Various activities are held in the mini cinema section and under 5’s play area.<\/p>\n

The Glenlee also offers learning programs for children and adults. The Learning Pack, for pre and post visit activities, is available for a better learning experience. Teacher-led and self-led tour options are also available.<\/p>\n

To visit the ship as frequently as you desire, you need to subscribe to the ‘Friends of the Glenlee’ by paying just \u00a315 per year. Get a welcome hot drink on every visit. The subscribers are also emailed newsletters and invitations to certain events.<\/p>\n

You may also hire the ship for personal events such as weddings, birthday parties, and small receptions. The ship also offers a distinct venue to conduct a corporate event such as conferences. The Glenlee offers a dining space for about 180 people and can accommodate about 200 people for a reception.<\/p>\n
