Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum House at Dubai Creek in UAE<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Sheikh Saeed’s House<\/strong> is situated on the Dubai Creek in the Dubai’s Shandagah area. The house served as the residence of the king of Dubai who hailed from the famous Al Makhtoum family.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Saeed’s House is located at a picturesque site. The imposing building of the Sheikh Saeed’s House overlooks the Dubai Creek. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking and panoramic vistas of the wonderful creek from Sheikh Saeed’s House. The house also served as the centre for the social and political organizations of Dubai.<\/p>\n

The house got its name from the ruler Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum al Maktoum, who was the owner of this magnificent building. Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum al Maktoum ruled Dubai from 1921 to 1958. Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum al Maktoum was the father of the renowned architect of Dubai; late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed al Maktoum and the grandfather of Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid al Makhtoum, who is the current ruler of Dubai.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Saeed’s House was built using conventional construction techniques. The walls were constructed from special coral brought from the Gulf, which was later mixed with plaster and lime. These construction materials helped to keep Sheikh Saeed’s House cool even in the scorching summer temperature of Dubai.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Saeed’s House has carved a niche for itself as one of the leading tourist attractions of the UAE. The house has now been turned into a beautiful museum. The exhibits in the museum include coins, notes, stamps, several documents, and photographs. The house revives the feel of old Dubai city, long before the new skyscrapers arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
