We arrive at the Waitomo caves, known for their mysterious light emitted by the glowworms that live in the cave.
We then leave for Rotorua where we visit the Rainbow Springs natural reserve. Here you can see many species of birds including the Kiwi, and many species of fish including trout in the sparking springs at Rotorua.
We can also visit a functioning farm to experience life in rural New Zealand. You will witness traditional occupations such as sheep shearing and crop harvesting.
We then move on to the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute where we can see the handicrafts and traditional skills of the Maori people.
Our next stop is the Geyserland region. Here we see the spouting Pohutu Geyser and the spectacular Boiling Mud Pools at Whakarewarewa.
We then board the coach to return to Auckland at the end of our Geyserland Tour of New Zealand.
