Central America struck by an earthquake of 7.6 magnitude, warning for Tsunami issued
An earthquake of 7.6 magnitude struck the north of Honduras in the Carribean Sea near the remote islands. The earthquake was centered 125 miles in the northeast of Barra Patuca in Honduras. Just after a few hours of the earthquake, a threat for the tsunami was issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre(PTWC). The warnings are issued for the people living in Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Jamaica and other Caribbean islands as well as on the coasts of Mexico and Central America It was reported the earthquake did not last for long but was extremely violent. No severe damage has been reported till now as the affected area was sparsely populated
