Standing Triple Jump at Olympics
Standing triple jump at Olympics is an athletic sport that involves three phases in a jump. The athlete had to jump directly from the stepping board without a sprint.
The standing triple jumpers first step is a hop in which the jumper jumps and lands on one foot. It is followed by the second step in which the jumper lands on the opposite foot which is finally followed by a large jump in which the athlete lands on both feet.
In the year 1900 the event was a part of the Summer Games. Later in the year 1918, due to lack of participation and promotion of the event the game was excluded from the Olympics.
