The city of Wonsan offers a plentiful of scenic beauties for the tourists to relish. Wonsan, the capital of Kangwon Province holds an importance as a port city and naval base in southeastern part of North Korea.
Today, Wonsan is established as a harbor industrial city. The city of Wonsan holds a power of prestige for being the administrative center of Kangwon Province. With an area of 269 square kilometers, the city of Wonsan is located on the verge of the Sea of Japan. The sea is known as the East Sea of Korea in North Korea.
