Chongjin is the third largest city in North Korea and the capital of the province of North Hamgyong.
Chongjin is situated in the Northeastern part of the North Korea. Home to the largest market in north Korea, the city provides an open market for the foreign and domestic goods that contribute to the import and export business in North Korea. Chongjin is a popular tourist attraction and is noted for its beaches and river banks.

Chongjin is a paradise for shoppers and boasts of a number of high end shopping destinations. Since it is close to the Chinese border, market place is dominated by Chinese goods. One can bargain and get products at much cheaper rates as compared to other places in North Korea.
