About the Carnival
The Mardi Gras is one of the biggest events in New Orleans. Excitement builds up through the carnival season with parades and glitzy events each day culminating in the gala music events, floats, parades, and street shows on the Tuesday before Lent. One holiday in New Orleans that you must not miss! Everyone around is wearing bright colors and outrageous costumes. Singing, dancing, feasting, and merrymaking are all the activities you will be expected to participate in. The New Orleans Mardi Gras is an event to cherish.

French Quarter

The French Quarter is the most historic and eventful neighborhood in the city. The architecture of the locale is breathtaking

To get around the city the RTA Streetcars and rented bicycles are the best bet.
If you decide to drive in New Orleans remember that there is a two-hour limit at most downtown parking areas.
