Lebanon education comprises of primary education, intermediate education, secondary education, technical and vocational education and higher education.
The education in Lebanon comprises of 4 years of intermediate education. After completing Intermediate education the students receive Intermediate certificate.
Lebanon's education constitute of 3 years of secondary education. On completion of secondary education the students received Baccalaureate certificate.
There are 130 technical and vocational institutes in Lebanon. For higher education at Lebanon there were only 16 colleges and universities.
Lebanon Universities
Education plays an important role in the development of Lebanon. Most of the Lebanon Universities are private. One of the major Universities of Lebanon is the Lebanese University. It was established in 1952. The Ministry of Education maintains this university. The two branches are located on the East and the West of Beirut.
There are other branches of Lebanese University in Al Biqa, Ash Shamal and Al Janub. Various subjects like social science, law, political science, fine arts, engineering, management, literature, education, humanities, journalism, advertising, business administration and agriculture are included within the faculties of the university.

Lebanon Colleges
The progress of Lebanon depends much upon its education in which Lebanon College have a major role to play. Though the country has gone through much turmoil the education of this country had a stable growth. The literacy rate of Lebanon is one of the highest rates of Arab world. Both male and female of Lebanon are educated, though males are more educated than females. After completing primary education the students need not go to some other country as there are a number of Lebanon Colleges.
There are both government colleges as well as private colleges. Lebanon College is one of the most important Lebanon Colleges. This college provides the students with various courses like accounting and finance, photography, education, foreign languages and literatures, business administration and management, graphic design commercial art and illustration, computer and information, computer programming, liberal arts and sciences, office supervision and management etc.
