There is a story behind these two cat statues. There is a saying that tells that the two cats had put a curse on the designer of the Cat House, who put the statues on the top of the building. And after designing the building, the man fell from above the top of the Cat House and died. In fact the designer intentionally made structure in such way that the backsides of the cats were facing the Great Guild and put the tails of the cats straight up to show his displeasure for the cats and to insult them.
