Description :Map showing the path of Tropical Storm Pakhar  Disclaimer

According to reports, a new tropical storm is forming in the eastern hemisphere. Just days after Hato wreaked destruction, there is news of an apparent incoming of another storm in the region. Tropical Storm Pakhar, named after a fish that's found in the Mekong River in Laos is expected to hit the region later this week. The storm, which is in its nascent stage, was found moving at a speed of 15.53Mph as a depression and is expected to convert soon into a potential tropical storm. Areas of the Philippines, parts of Taiwan and South East China are being speculated to get affected by it. It is also believed that Tropical Storm Pakhar might follow the same path as its predecessor Hato. Tropical storm Pakhar is right now located at about 813 miles southeast of Hong Kong. Pakhar could be declared the 14th Tropical Storm of the season. The Observatory predicts that Tropical Storm Pakhar will aggravate to Severe Tropical Storm with maximum sustained winds of 65.24mph. Typhoon Hato which was a signal T10 storm wreaked havoc in Hong Kong on Wednesday leading to flooded streets and cancellation of almost hundreds of flights. According to the Central Weather Bureau, weekend in Taiwan is likely to witness torrential rain, particularly in the South and on the east coast, even though the eye of the storm will come nowhere near the island.
