The Pyramids are Pyramids, and that’s a big deal! However, so much has been written about them, now what could be different? Yes, that question got us going. We wanted our take on Pyramids to be different. Not only Pyramids, we wished our site to have an altogether different take on Egypt.

Our colleague Manveena Suri, at that time doing the Calendar Events project for us from London, was going to Egypt. So, we requested her to cover the Pyramids, and as much of Egypt, first hand for us, as she could manage.

There’s so much love, passion, and zeal that each of our colleague brings in, that each section of the project starts breathing. Eventually, Manveena went and took photographs and made her detailed notes. Once she was back in London, articles starting pouring in and one after one, Egypt started unfolding, quite differently for us. This particular article on The Great Pyramid Of Giza is a perfect example of a ‘been there, done that’ shared elegantly with readers panning across generations and world cultures. This is the kind of reading and depth we want Mapsofworld.com to always offer.

This article supports Mapsofworld’s effort to get the whole story of pyramids right. This story is now part of a larger travel destination section named Pyramids of Giza. The Pyramids of Giza section is a complete section with text, photographs, video, an infographic, and, of course, a beautiful map. This section is now available in Spanish and French, too. Soon, it would be available in six more languages, which Mapsofworld is available in.

We have all been reading about the Pyramids and Mapsofworld has been covering them since it got going with its travel section in 2005.
