Emmanuel Macron became the youngest French president

On May 7, 2017, Emmanuel Macron won the second round of the French presidential election and on May 14, 2017, formally became the President of the country. At 39, Macron became the youngest president in the history of France. Macron bagged 66.1 percent of the votes, while rival Marine Le Pen could get only 33.9 percent votes. In the elections Macron's La République En Marche! And its Democratic Movement allies got 350 seats out of 577 seats.
