On October 1, a music festival in Las Vegas turned into a nightmare when a gunman went on a shooting rampage. At least 59 people were killed and more than 546 injured when the gunman, identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, opened fire on concertgoers having fun at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in the US state of Nevada. The shooting incident, which is considered the deadliest in the history of the United States, witnessed Paddock firing hundreds of rounds into the crowd from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel, which is located near to where the event was taking place. The gunman, whose motive for the attack is unknown, killed himself before the police could get to him.
