Sanders and Clinton confront issues of race at CNN town hall

Democrats Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton addressed race issues at a CNN town hall on Tuesday. The town hall, which comes just four days ahead of the South Carolina Democratic Primary, will witness African-American voters playing an important role. Sanders urged for reforms in the criminal justice system. Sanders also promised that in case he is elected president of the country he will increase funding for historically black colleges and universities. Meanwhile, Clinton called upon the white people to be honest. Clinton said that there were racial barriers that "we need to be honest about”.
