Roseanne Barr appears on Florida presidential ballot

Comedian and sitcom star Roseanne Barr will feature as one of a dozen presidential candidates on the ballot in Florida in the November 6 election.

The swing state boasts some of the most liberal ballot access rules in the country.

Barr's California-based Peace and Freedom Party along with a number of other small political organizations are running against Democratic President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

Gary Johnson, a former GOP governor of New Mexico running for the Libertarian Party, is seen as the main third party contender on the ballot.

Only Colorado, with a total of 16 presidential candidates, has a wider offering than the 12 on Florida’s ballot.

Barr, an Emmy Award-winning actress, announced her presidential candidacy in August 2011 after losing the race for the Green Party's presidential nomination.

In a statement on her website, Barr said, "the bankers and the (U.S.) Federal Reserve need to be brought down" to help fix the U.S. economy.

"They have stolen our money, our future and the American Dream and continue to enslave us with a broken monetary system," the statement reads.

"We definitely do not have any serious choices in this election besides me," Barr said in a video clip on her website.
