Romney's son Tagg apologizes to Obama

The son of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has apologized to President Barack Obama for saying in a radio interview that he was tempted to "take a swing" at the president for criticizing his father during a debate.

On Monday, Tagg Romney walked up on stage with other family members after the third and final debate, where cameras showed him shaking hands and speaking to with Obama.

After the second presidential debate, Tagg told a radio interviewer he felt angry when Obama doubted his father's honesty.

Tagg Romney said: "You want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him."

A Romney campaign official confirmed that Tagg had apologized for the comment.
